GTX-A: A Revolutionary Leap in Public Transportation
The GTX-A line, connecting Uijeongbu Central and Seoul Station, is set to revolutionize public transportation in South Korea. The new line significantly cuts down commute time and is expected to drastically improve traffic convenience.
Impressive Reduction in Commute Time
Upon the launch of the GTX-A line, commute time which previously took up to 90 minutes is now reduced to a mere 22 minutes. This massive reduction is set to dramatically improve the lives of residents in the northwest region of the capital area.
Commemorative Events and Pre-Ride Ceremony
The opening of the GTX-A line is to be commemorated with a pre-ride ceremony and a series of events to engage with local residents and share the achievements of the project. The ceremony will be held at Uijeongbu Central Station, the starting and ending point of the line.
Transparent OLED and Content Contest
In an innovative move, SG Rail, the executor of the GTX-A project, will be holding a contest for contents to be displayed on the transparent OLED installed on the windows of the GTX-A trains. This contest is the first of its kind in South Korea.
Continuous Increase in Ridership
Since its opening, the GTX-A line has seen a steady increase in ridership, becoming a convenient and fast new mode of transportation for residents in the southern region of the capital area. The opening of the Uijeongbu Central-Seoul Station section is expected to significantly improve traffic convenience in the northwestern region of the capital area as well.
